MobileTec’s InMotion™ Central Interface Switch performs all the necessary data transaction processing and translation to provide a multi-threaded interface routing system between host systems across a local and wide area network. Connectivity and data exchange between host systems can utilize a variety of data access methods, with all interfaces managed centrally and all data flowing through the Switch.

The InMotion™ Central Interface Switch manages and tracks all system transactions and ensures data format integrity  between host systems.  The InMotion™ Central Interface Switch uses intelligent processing to perform activities such as data routing, message / data formatting, message / data conversion, data delivery acknowledgements, history logging, error detection and retry processing.

The InMotion™ Central Interface Switch also provides a real time system monitor to allow for constant interface performance and traffic verification by a system administrator.  In addition, the administrator is also provided the means to manage and configure the system on a per message/data transfer and per interface basis. The easy-to-use configurator design utilizes data tables that minimize system maintenance and the menu-driven interface decreases the learning curve for new users.  

The InMotion™ Central Interface Switch was designed and built to achieve the maximum performance and transaction processing power for a minimal cost.  For this reason it runs on the IBM RISC System/6000 and AIX  operating system (IBM's enhanced Unix).
