InMotion IP-Link Technology
MobileTec's
mobile broadband network technology enables users instant access
to data maintained on a local area network, private intranet, or
on the Internet, without requiring a phone line
or cable
connection, regardless of location. Users are free to move
throughout the coverage area without any interruption of service
at up to T-1 speeds.
The software
technology provided by the InMotion™
IP-Link wireless backbone enables each vehicle to act as a
repeater, delivering data packets to the network and extending the
network's reach. This mobile IP packet routing technology provides
network access for individuals while in motion by utilizing
adjacent users in the network to reach the point of access for the
network.
To understand the architecture of the InMotion IP-Link Broadband
Wireless Data Backbone, it is important to understand the
deployment of a mobile broadband network. The InMotion IP-Link
enabled network can be broken down into three mission critical
components: the Cells, the Backbone, and the Network Operations
Center (NOC).
The diagram
illustrates how InMotion™
IP-Link technology enables peer-to-peer TCP/IP communication within a community of wireless transceivers, enabling users
outside the range of the tower (User "B") to communicate with
the network through other users in range of the tower (User
"A").
InMotion™ IP-Link Hardware :
The MobileTec
InMotion™ IP-Link backbone uses a spread spectrum wireless
Ethernet router with a native embedded TCP/IP stack. It has a unique
band pass filter that allows the radio to operate at the upper end
of the allowable frequency where other devices cannot operate due
to the frequency bleeding of high-powered paging systems.
