MobileTec’s InMotion™ Report Writer product module supports the reporting needs of any agency.  InMotion™ Report Writer utilizes standardized drop-down pick lists, selection bullets, look-up tables, and a host of other functions and features to support the comprehensive yet easy-to-use and easy-to-learn report application.

InMotion™ Report Writer is not a form-filling utility, but rather a complete reporting application that creates a searchable database of information while supporting both standardization and flexibility of report presentation.  Information is entered in a user-friendly, intuitive manner that allows the customer to define selections available and specific data entry requirements.  This insures that compliance with departmental, state and national reporting standards (including UCR and NIBRS) is maintained throughout the entire reporting process.

MobileTec’s InMotion™ Report Writer has the ability to enter virtually unlimited associated offenses, persons, vehicles, property and narrative text, dynamically distributing the data in an organized fashion, and automatically expanding the areas with multiple entries.  This allows all associated offenses, persons, etc. to be entered consecutively without having to manually type into narrative and/or narrative continuation form, as with obsolete reporting methods such as a form-filling utility or manual handwritten method.

InMotion™ Report Writer offers five primary standard reporting packages that work together or as standalone modules to support all agency-specific reporting requirements:

  • Offense / Incident / Supplement Reports
  • Arrest Reports
  • Citation / Ticket Writer Reports
  • Crash / Accident Reports
  • Supplementary Reports (e.g., Alarm, Field Contacts, Missing Person and others)

InMotion™ Report Writer also has the flexibility to support other reporting requirements and agency-specific reporting capabilities on a per-implementation basis while still following the same report entry methodologies as with the standard report packages.

All report modules can be utilized by remote / mobile client laptops, standalone client workstations, and/or network clients / hosts to support any agency’s configuration or reporting requirements.

  • Windows based, with easy-to-use GUI menus and screens.
  • Streamlined data entry process, with data related to a particular offense or incident only entered once.
  • Seamless integration with other InMotion products, with Supervisor review (approval / rejection / edit), upload / download capability, printing, and automatic update to the agency’s central host database.
  • Able to contain a full set of state statutes and local ordinances, with the ability to add, update and delete statutes / ordinances.
  • Interface to a magnetic strip or bar code reader for driver’s license swipe and direct transfer of person information.
  • Provides the ability to issue companion citations, eliminating re-keying and duplication of data.
  • Copy and clone features allow data to be entered once and transferred to other related reports.
  • Interface to in-vehicle printer.
  • Spell check and grammar check utilities.

Ability to store and link graphical image and audio files specific to reports (crime scenes, mugshots, interviews, etc).
